The picture above shows just a fraction of the 1,000+ Ukrainian refugees whom Danish Entrepreneurs have helped through an extensive entrepreneurial program. This program began in December of 2022 and will conclude at the end of June this year.
Today, May 9th, is the European Day that commemorates the signing of the 'Schuman Declaration' on May 9th, 1950. This was an ambitious plan to secure long-term peace in post-war Europe that is considered the beginning of what is now the European Union.
In times like these, a day like the European Day is more relevant than ever before. It is a reminder of the importance of helping out and sticking together.
Here at Danish Entrepreneurs, we are proud to say that we have facilitated numerous workshops for over 1,000 Ukrainian refugees living in Denmark. They have learned the fundamentals of entrepreneurship, how to develop a business plan, and have had the opportunity to meet Danish investors ready to help in any way they can.
Entrepreneurship provides a pathway to unleash human potential and ideas, foster diversity and inclusion in our societies. Refugees are no exception. Offering an educational program that makes it possible for refugees, no matter their background, to become a part of something bigger is helping this objective.
By giving people the right set of skills and knowledge, they are given the opportunity to break away from traditional norms and take on leadership to create financial stability, resilience, and independence.
